A 21-year-old woman, Elizabeth Eze, has been remanded by an Ilorin Magistrate’s Court for allegedly stabbing her brother, Francis, to death with a knife over an argument.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Balikisu Adu, told the court that the accused stabbed her brother on the chest with a knife following a fight over a plastic bucket on Feb. 10 at Chikanda in the Baruteen Local Government Area of Kwara.
Adu said that the accused was arraigned on a one-count charge of culpable homicide, contrary to Section 221 of the Penal Code.
Adu objected to a bail application for the accused on the ground that the alleged offence was not ordinarily bailable.
Magistrate Nuah Ajide who refused to grant the plea of the accused, ordered her to be remanded at the Okekura Prison, Ilorin.
She adjourned the case to Feb. 26 for mention.
