chel-sick fever; mikel obi and victor moses

I have carefully followed the transfer mills as the names of Mikel Obi and Victor Moses get nearly daily mention. I have also carefully listened to debates on whether the Nigerians should continue to stay at the Stamford Bridge or move on.

Those who want them to stay believe they are good enough to fight for places in the London club while others say they will be bench warmers all through the season if they choose to remain with Chelsea. Whichever way, the battle is surely strong.
If I were Mikel I would rather stay in Chelsea and fight for a spot rather than go to Turkey. As far as I know the competition in the English League is still far above that of Turkey no matter what people say about Fenerbahce or Galatasaray. If Jose Mourinho fought to get Mikel ahead of Manchester United during his first reign, I am not sure that he would easily have forgotten about his belief in the lad so quickly. England is where the money and prestige lie comparatively.
For Moses, the Liverpool angle is a good deal if he must leave Chelsea. The potential to do well is still there even though the Reds have not won anything for quite some time now. If we say our players are good enough to be African Footballers of The Year, then we should encourage them to fight for their places.
So if it’s Liverpool for Moses, it’s okay with me; Mikel must not settle for less. His display at the FIFA Confederations Cup has proven he can do much more than we are getting from him.
